I have some of the Evangelion DVD's, but after a couple of years of not caring so much about watching stuff (and also not being able to find the same DVD set, it all seemed to Plantinum/Collector's when I was looking), I can't really say whether it was good or not.

Amsuing at the time, but I haven't seen enough to know. I don't think I'll ever finish the series.

I loved it-one of the few anime's that I still care about (kinda fell off the bandwagon after I graduated and wasn't around people to force it on me 24/7).

I'm not an anime fan (only thing I've really watched was the original Dragon Ball and Cowboy Bebop) But my roommate has been doing a term paper on this show for his Psych class. Wiki'd it and was surprised how deep the underlying content is, I just might give this show a shot.

Do so. second half of show is great, thou bordering on mindRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO. You might want to followup with something in this style: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilgamesh_(anime) (only watch first half) for example.

@ netwink: there is difference between kid anime, teen anime and adult anime (not that kind of adult). Learn it.
